Wider horizon

Travel Insurance Consultants (TIC) has spent the last 18 months gathering information and analysing every detail of its products, claims and local and international travel insurance trends. Using this data, it has decided to put together a new product range.

George Novis, TIC’s Managing Director, says, “We’ve revamped the whole look and feel of our product so that it’s more user-friendly. And in terms of benefits and pricing, we believe it is the most competitive product on the market. Our online booking engine, SystemaTIC, has also been revamped and is designed to make issuing policies as easy as possible. The all-in-one system deals with quotes, sales reports, policy changes and credit card payments and is, of course, compliant with all FAIS legislation.”
The new product introduces family rates, whereby there is one premium for families. Luggage is now automatically included in most of TIC’s products at no extra premium and, for the very first time, pre-existing illness medical cover has been introduced on some of the plans,” he says.
Simmy Lessing, TIC’s Sales Manager adds, “Our research showed that many package tours run for seven nights and eight days, and in order to cater for this, we’ve increased the first period of travel cover to eight days. Above and beyond that, we’ve extended our youth cover up to two years, and it now includes increased medical benefits.”
As before all the policies include war and terrorism cover to the full limits.
