Stronger position

Aon South Africa has acquired Heritage Insurance Brokers and Heritage Management Services, effective 1st October 2008.
Anton Roux, CEO of Aon says this will strengthen the company’s overall position in the South African market by affording entry to new niche areas. Aon should also benefit from the increased new business inflow through the Heritage branch network and from the specific industry knowledge that the acquisition brings.
Roux confirms that Heritage Financial Services (the life broking business) and the Underwriting Agencies will not be acquired by Aon and will continue to run independently.
The transaction, which is subject to Competition Commission approval will see all aspects of service previously provided by Heritage Insurance Brokers and Heritage Management Services continue uninterrupted. For the immediate future, all contact details remain unchanged. Roux says the integration process will begin shortly with minimum disruption anticipated for clients.
