Things to ask

With approximately 20 training institutions registered with INSETA, finding the right training provider is no easy task.

Be sure you ask the following questions before signing on the dotted line:
Is the institution accredited with INSETA?
Can the institution offer a full qualification?
Will you get help in planning your learning and career path, taking into account FAIS requirements and your current education status?
Look at samples of training materials.
What is the method of training delivery, including facilitation sessions?
How are assessments done (multiple choice; knowledge questionnaire; projects; assignments; Portfolio of Evidence etc.)? Check for an appropriate mix.
Is there follow-up and on-going tutorial support for the learner?
Is there a national infrastructure, BEE partnerships, and project management capability?
How do costs compare to other institutions?
